NFL Free Agency Had Me Side-Eyeing Half the League | Stephie Smalls Show 3.12.26

NFL free agency opened and my reaction was mostly the same all week: wait… that’s the plan?

Adam Rosenberg from SGPN’s Propcast and MLB Gambling Podcast jumped on the show with me to break down what actually matters from this cycle of moves, rumors, and questionable decision-making. Because let’s be honest — not every “big move” in March turns into wins in September.

We started with the news that Kyler Murray could land in Minnesota. I actually love the fit. If you’re Justin Jefferson, you probably feel a little better about your quarterback situation. Kyler indoors with Kevin O’Connell feels like the kind of experiment that could actually work.

Then we got into some teams I simply cannot take seriously right now. The Falcons continue to build the most confusing quarterback room in football. The Jets look like they’re running it back with the same energy that got them into trouble the first time. And the Commanders might be chirping a little too much for a team that didn’t exactly dominate last season.

The NFC South might still be the weirdest division in football, but there’s real betting value there if you’re willing to hold your nose and dig through the options.

Adam also brought the baseball heat with two MLB futures he likes right now. He’s fading George Springer’s batting average after a massive season and betting on Red Sox prospect Roman Anthony to explode with 80+ RBIs.

So yeah… NFL free agency gave us a lot to talk about.

Whether the moves actually make sense?

That’s a different question entirely.
