After a rather blah UFC 326 last weekend, the UFC is sticking around Vegas for another week, with UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs Vallejos going down in their home base, the Meta APEX. Oh joy. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC Vegas 114, I’ve got a submission prop for the prelims. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs Vallejos (aka UFC Vegas 114)
Main Card Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
As for most pursuits in life, there are levels. And UFC women’s bantamweight Beatriz ‘Bia’ Mesquita is on another level when it comes to jiu-jitsu. An IBJJF Hall of Fame member, she has too many world titles in the sport to count (11, I think).
And, most importantly, she has successfully transferred her grappling skills to the MMA cage. A winner of all six of her pro fights, she’s tapped out four of those opponents. I expect that number to get to five on Saturday.
Mesquita’s opponent, Montse Rendon, has never been taken down in the UFC, but as I mentioned above, there are levels to this game, and she’s never fought anyone on Mesquita’s level. Bia will get this fight to the mat and finish it there.
