Daily NBA Player Props – March 11th
Kawhi Leonard – Over 27.5 Points (-111)
Leonard has been over this number in each of his last four games. If you want to peel it back a bit further, he’s been over in six of his last eight. Minnesota has been a middle of the pack defense, but has actually been slipping in recent weeks. They allowed 120 last time out and are over 115 points per game in their last three. If that’s not enough reason to get behind Leonard, check out his last game against the Timberwolves. In it he put up a solid 41 points with five three pointers.
RJ Barrett – Over 20.5 Points (-116)
It’s always a good idea to look to some of the offensive players against the Pelicans. They rank 27th in the league in defensive scoring with 120.2 allowed per game. Of all of the guys on the Raptors, Barrett has been the most consistent as of late. He has five straight games with at least 20 points and is 4-1 against this projection in that span. With a 25.3 points per game average this month already, I like his trend to continue.
Kyle Filipowski – Over 8.5 Rebounds (+101)
Filipowski has been blowing this projection out of the water as of late. In fact, he’s gone for at least 11 in each of his last four games with a 12.8 per game average in that span. While he is facing the Knicks, who are a much better rebounding team, this would be a huge dropoff. I don’t think the change of opponent would result in a net loss of over four rebounds – particularly not with the amount of injured players in the Jazz frontcourt.
