All Selections: 190-164-5
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 19-102

Mercyhurst at Long Island

Start Time: 7:00 PM EST

This game is in the final for the NEC tournament, and it’s being played at the Steinberg Wellness Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Mercyhurst enters this game with a 17-16 overall record and a 5-13 mark on the road. The Lakers are 21-10 overall against the spread and 12-6 ATS on the road.

Long Island comes into this matchup with a 23-10 overall mark and a 13-1 home record. The Sharks are 16-17 overall ATS and 8-6 ATS at home.

These two teams played twice this season in conference play. Both teams won on their own home floor, but Mercyhurst covered both games as an underdog.

Due to Mercyhurst being ineligible for the 2026 NCAA tournament, the Long Island Sharks are already in the dance. The Lakers moved up to Division 1 basketball in 2024, and they are under a mandatory 4-year ban from the postseason tournament. Long Island has nothing to play for, and this is the final game of the Lakers’ 2025-26 season. The Sharks don’t need to win this game, and the Lakers have every reason to get up for this game. Long Island has the more talented roster, but they may not look to give their top guys a full workload. Mercyhurst has been chippy on the road, and they hold a win over Long Island already this year. Lock up the Lakers to stay within the number here.

Best Bet: Mercyhurst +6.5

Wake Forest at Virginia Tech

Start Time: 7:00 PM EST

This game is in the 1st round of the ACC conference tournament, and it’s being played at a neutral site in Charlotte, NC.

Wake Forest enters this matchup with a 16-15 overall record and a 14-17 mark ATS this year. Virginia Tech comes into this game with a 19-12 overall record and a 19-12 mark at home.

These two teams played twice this year, with each team winning and covering on its own floor. Virginia Tech won the most recent game by 19 points as a 3.5-point favorite in Blacksburg, VA.

Both of these teams are very potent on offense, but Wake Forest has been really poor at staying in front of their opponents. Virginia Tech will do a better job limiting looks and staying with the Demon Deacons.

Wake Forest is in the bottom half of the nation in almost every defensive shooting metric there is. Virginia Tech is a little soft on the inside, but they can defend the perimeter. The Hokies also have a slight edge in rebounding.

Wake Forest has had defensive issues all year. The Hokies can score, and they should win as long as they make an effort on the defensive end. Virginia Tech has taken a step forward this year, and a win in the ACC tournament would help cement the Hokies as a team that belongs in the upper half of the league. Lock up Virginia Tech to win and cover in the opening round of the ACC tournament.

Best Bet: Virginia Tech -1.5

Oklahoma State at Colorado

Start Time: 10:30 PM EST

This game is in the 1st round of the Big 12 conference tournament, and it’s being played at a neutral site in Kansas City, MO.

Oklahoma State enters this game with an 18-13 overall record and a 14-17 ATS mark. Colorado comes into this matchup with a 17-14 overall record and a 16-15 mark ATS.

These two teams only played once this year. Oklahoma State traveled to Boulder, CO as a 3.5-point underdog and lost to the Buffaloes by 14.

This is another first-round matchup with two teams that have potent offenses and middling defenses. However, the underlying defensive metrics favor Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are capable of rebounding a little and they can generate turnovers. They also may get the occasional hand in the face of an opponent on the defensive end.

Both of these teams only managed four wins away from home this year, but Colorado plays at elevation and has a true home court advantage. The Cowboys only have a crowd when they’re good. Kansas City is much closer to sea level, and neither team should really have the crowd. Oklahoma State picks up a win in the conference tournament on a neutral site. This game will be a barn burner, but the Cowboys have the firepower to keep up with Colorado, and they may get a stop or two. Lock up Oklahoma State and the 1.5 points to get home.

Best Bet: Oklahoma State +1.5
