Calgary Flames vs Washington Capitals
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
We’re kicking off the week with a short slate in the NHL, and the game I zeroed in on for my best bet is a little chalkier than preferred, but a win is a win. Plus, the line has moved in the right way since I targeted it, so that’s a positive.
The game in question is obviously the Washington Capitals hosting the Calgary Flames to wrap up their season series (Washington won Game 1 in Calgary 3-1). The Capitals are good while the Flames suck. There, analysis over.
Fine, I’ll give you some more. The Caps are strong at home (19-11-3 on their home ice, 11th best in the NHL), while the Flames’ 9-18-3 road mark is the worst in the league. And Washington scores more goals per game and allows fewer than Calgary.
This all adds up to a Capitals win, and all things considered, a pretty solid moneyline for us to get in on to start the week with a winner.
