Daily NBA Player Props – March 6th

Jaylen Brown – Over 6.5 Rebounds (-102)

The buzz in Boston is obviously all over the return of Jayson Tatum, but let’s not overlook how good Brown has been on the boards. Since the All-Star Break, he is a perfect 6-0 against this line with an average of 10.0 rebounds per game. If you peel it back further, he’s 20-3 over the last two months. I can’t imagine that the return of Tatum upsets this trend, so let’s continue to ride it.

Jayson Tatum – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-140)

While the hype on Tatum has driven up some of these lines to an unplayable level, this is still one that I like. Even given that he is likely to have a significant minutes restriction that will put most of his overs in danger, he’s always going to be firing away from deep. After the All-Star Break last season, he had at least two made from beyond the arc in 13 of his 16 contests. Add in that he’s going to want to avoid some contact in the lane as he tests things out, and I assume the deep ball will be a largest part of his game.

Amen Thompson – Over 7.5 Rebounds (+114)

This game pits a pair of the best rebounding teams in the league. The Rockets rank first in rebounding percentage, while the Blazers sit in a respectable 5th. Given that they have tough opponents on the board, the projections are down from where they usually are, and I think this one is too far down. Thompson has put up double digit rebounds in three straight games. While he might not get to 10 again, eight seems perfectly within reach for him on Friday.
