Daily NBA Player Props – March 5th
Austin Reaves – Under 19.5 Points (-116)
Denver might be a below average defense in the league, but this is still a lofty projection for Reaves. He comes to us with a 1-9 record against this line in his last 10 games. Additionally, if you want to turn that back even more, he has just two overs in his last 16. While Denver may not be the best defense, they have given up this many to just seven players in the last four games (or 1.75 per game). Unless you think Reaves is going to be the high scorer, he’ll likely be an under here.
Al Horford – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+167)
The Warriors have been without Steph Curry for some time now, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still letting it fly from beyond the arc. In fact, despite being the team with the most attempts per game, they are playing about their season average in the last couple weeks. On Thursday, they’ll not only be missing Curry, but also Moses Moody – who has been grabbing a lot of the attempts. As a result, I like Horford to step up a bit here, especially on the heels of his four-make game last time out.
Kyle Filipowski – Over 9.5 Rebounds (+122)
The Jazz’s frontcourt continues to fall apart and is currently in shambles. No Nurkic. No Kessler. No Markkanen. It really doesn’t leave much in the way for rebound getters. However, this is a great game to snag some boards. The Wizards rank last in the league in rebounding percentage and are still without Alex Sarr and Anthony Davis. Filipowski should be able to build on his 11 board game last time out with double figures agin.
