Daily NBA Player Props – February 28th
Kon Knueppel – Over 3.5 Three-Pointers (+100)
I’m not sure there is a hotter hand from beyond the arc right now. Knueppel dropped eight bombs last game to break the rookie regular season recod – in just 59 games mind you. That put him at 6-2 against this line over his last eight games. His attempts have skyrocketed this month, all the way up to 9.4 attempts per game. The Blazers are 24th in the league in opponents scoring and have below average defense against the three-pointer – which should leave Knueppel the opportunitites he needs.
Andrew Wiggins – Over 15.5 Points (-110)
In the matinee game today, the Heat host the Rockets. However, the Heat will be without Norman Powell, which leaves them with a need for more scoring. While Bam Adebayo will likely step up with a big game, I’m also loving the line on Andrew Wiggins. He’s been over this projection in three straight and in five of his last seven. He’s putting up 19.7 per game in that span and has been hot from deep.
Al Horford – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-129)
Al Horford hasn’t been the gold mine from three-pointer like he has in past years, but we’ve seen a nice increase in attempts since Steph Curry went down hurt. In his last three games, he’s averaging 3.0 makes and had attempted at least six in every single game. They face the Lakers, who are fresh off a game where their opponents sunk 22 from downtown. Expect the Warriors to try to match that, which will give Horford the attempts that the needs.
