The college hoops feast that was Saturday is finished. Today’s slate? It looks more like leftovers. After scheduling over 100 games on Saturday, we get only 21 games on Sunday and the last game tips off at four o’clock in the afternoon. It may not be the best slate we’ve seen, but we can still take a few plays as the march towards the madness continues. Perfect 3-0 Cards: 17-89
Robert Morris at Wright State
Start Time: 2:00 PM EST
Robert Morris enters this game with an 18-10 overall record and a 7-7 mark on the road. The Colonials are 16-10 overall against the spread and 8-6 ATS on the road.
Wright State comes into this matchup with an 18-10 overall record and a 10-4 mark at home. The Raiders are 16-10 overall against the spread and 6-6 ATS at home.
Wright State has won six of the last 10 games in this series, but Robert Morris is 7-3 ATS over that stretch. These two teams played just over two weeks ago, and Robert Morris won outright at home as a 1.5-point underdog.
Robert Morris is on a four-game winning streak with road wins at Cleveland State and Youngstown State. Wright State has won four of their last six home games, but only covered in three.
The Raiders get a revenge spot on their floor. They’re also the better free-throw shooting team, have the better defense in the paint, and they’re much better in turnover differential. Robert Morris is one of the better three-point shooting teams in the country, but they’re much better at home than on the road. This has been a home team series in recent years, and Wright State should win this outright and cover the four-point spread. Wright State can also secure the Horizon League regular season title with a win today. Lock up the Raiders to win by more than the number today.
Best Bet: Wright State -4
St. Peter’s at Siena
Start Time: 2:00 PM EST
St. Peter’s comes into this game with a 15-10 overall record and a 3-9 mark on the road. The Peacocks are 15-9 overall ATS and 5-7 ATS on the road.
Siena enters this game with an 18-10 overall record and a 7-4 mark at home. The Saints are 15-13 overall ATS and 5-6 ATS at home.
St. Peter’s won outright at home as a 1.5-point underdog at home in early February. The Peacocks have won and covered four of the last five head-to-head matchups against Siena.
St. Peter’s has won and covered in six of their last 10 games. Siena has failed to cover in four of their last five games, including two home games.
St. Peter’s is really good at second chances. The Peacocks are ninth in the country in offensive rebounds and in the top-50 in the country in turnovers generated. Siena does the most damage in the paint, but St. Peter’s is 57th in the country in shooting percentage against on two-point shots. The Peacocks will drag this game into the mud, slow the pace, and stay within the number. Lock up St. Peter’s and the 6.5 points to keep this game within two possessions.
Best Bet: St. Peter’s +6.5
Iowa at Wisconsin
Start Time: 4 PM EST
Iowa enters this game with a 19-7 overall record and 3-5 road mark. The Hawkeyes are 16-10 ATS overall and 5-3 ATS on the road.
Wisconsin comes into this matchup with an 18-8 overall record and a 13-2 mark at home. The Badgers are 14-12 overall ATS and 8-7 ATS at home.
Wisconsin has won six of the last 10 games in this series outright, but the Badgers are 7-3 ATS against Iowa in the last 10 head-to-head matchups.
Iowa is off a big win at home against Nebraska, but the Hawkeyes have dropped two of their last three. Wisconsin is off a loss at Ohio State. However, the Badgers have won four of their last five home games outright.
Wisconsin has one of the most explosive offenses in the country, and they do a lot of damage on the interior. The Badgers are 57th in the country for shooting percentage on two-point shots, but Iowa is a little soft on the inside. The Hawkeyes allow opponents to shoot 53.0% on two-point shots. That’s 240th in the nation. Wisconsin is also the better rebounding team and better at shot blocking. Wisconsin tends to play to their competition, and Iowa comes into this one playing as well as they have all year. The Badgers will want to avoid back-to-back losses, and they need to keep pace in the Big Ten standings. Lock up the Badgers to win and cover at home.
Best Bet: Wisconsin -2.5
