Men’s Curling Final – Great Britain vs Canada

Despite being Canadian, I’ve never curled, nor do I like curling, nor do I follow curling. However, I do know where my money is going for tomorrow’s men’s curling gold medal game – and it’s not on my countrymen.
No, I’m not above traitorous behavior when it comes to gambling – you have to bet with your head, not your heart. And, despite losing to Canada during round-robin play, Great Britain is the best team in this tournament. At least they were considered the best team heading into the tournament, but they had more trouble reaching the gold medal game than Canada did, as Great Britain went 5-4 in the round-robins as compared to Canada’s 7-2 mark.
But the British squad showed up when it mattered most, beating the undefeated Swiss side in the semifinals. While the Canadian team says they are relieved to be guaranteed a medal, Britain is out to win it all.
