4:00 PM +110 Nebraska vs Louisville -140 (12.5 O/U)

PROBABLE PITCHERS

Nebraska: Ty Horn JR RHP (2025: 4-4, 4.94 ERA, 76 K, 32 BB, 85.2 IP, 4.00 SIERA)

Louisville: Ethan Eberle SO LHP (2025: 6-2, 4.65 ERA, 59 K, 25 BB, 62 IP, 3.77 SIERA)

Last weekend Nebraska started the season 3-1 against solid competition. Their experienced Friday starter, Ty Horn, has made 22 career starts and is labeled as a “big game pitcher” being on the mound for multiple Big Ten Tournament wins. Horn is a mid-90s arm with decent off speed offerings and good command.

When comparing the offenses, Louisville has a clear advantage. Although the Cardinals do not have Zion Rose available to play right now, Coach Dan McDonnell’s squad still features stars. Lucas Moore, Tague Davis, and Alex Alicea all featured a wRC+ better than 110 last season.

On the mound, Ethan Eberle will not blow anybody away with his fastball. However, he will throw strikes and pitch to contact allowing the athletic UofL defense to make plays behind him.

Louisville lost two games on Opening Weekend, one of them was Eberle’s start, but he wasn’t the reason why the team lost. The talented Louisville offense only combined to score seven runs in the first two games. The Cardinals’ lineup proceeded to score 34 runs in their next two games. This group will be fine, buy low on Coach McDonnell’s boys.

9:00 PM -238 BYU at San Diego State +180 (O/U N/A)

PROBABLE PITCHERS

BYU: TBA Garrison Sumner SR RHP (2025: 3-3, 8.32 ERA, 60 K, 24 BB, 61.2 IP, 4.20 SIERA)

San Diego State: TBA, Rohan Lettow SO LHP (2025: 6-2, 4.65 ERA, 59 K, 25 BB, 62 IP, 3.77 SIERA)

BYU Baseball has no business ever laying -238 against a team with a pulse. Over the past two seasons Coach Trent Pratt’s Cougars have a record of 35-59. Garrison Sumner started last Friday’s game. He has not been confirmed to get the ball today, but that’s my projection. Last weekend he only lasted three innings against Western Kentucky and walked more hitters than he struck out.

San Diego State enters a new era in 2026 under head coach Kevin Vance. He grew up in the San Diego, California area and revered the SDSU Baseball program. This weekend the Aztecs are hosting their annual “Tony Gwynn Legacy” invitational and I have a feeling Vance will have his guys ready to win their first game of the weekend.

During Opening Weekend, San Diego State tallied 30 runs in three games, compared to 7 runs by BYU. Vance hammered the transfer portal, recruiting in 14 former power conference players. One of those players was Rohan Lettow (Arizona State). Lettow didn’t get a ton of opportunities with the Sun Devils but he punched out 26 batters across 15.2 innings pitched In the NECBL during the summer. He possesses a mid-90s fastball to go along with a good spinner. Last Friday, Lettow recorded 10 strikeouts in 4 innings.

San Diego State has a real chance of winning this game. If it was me pricing this game, I would list the Aztecs +120.

+180 San Diego State ML (DraftKings)
