The 2026 Winter Olympics (aka the XXV Winter Olympic Games, aka Milano Cortina 2026) are heading to the finish line already, but we still have plenty of time to hit some more bets. Winter Olympics Best Bet For Friday (February 20th): Men’s Hockey Predictions
Men’s Hockey Semifinal – Slovakia vs USA
Start Time: 3:10 PM EST
Team USA didn’t come through for me on the ice on Thursday, with the juggernaut United States Women’s Olympic Hockey team needing overtime to beat Canada (I had the Americans on the puck line at -1.5). Now it’s the men’s turn to shine and win for me, on the same ice in Milano.
The American men’s team is almost as strong as the women’s, going 4-0 in the tournament, outscoring their opponents 18-6 in the process. But they needed heroics from Quinn Hughes in the quarterfinals to sneak past Sweden in overtime.
Tomorrow’s opponent, Slovakia, is no Team Sweden (in fact, Sweden beat them 5-3 in the round-robin portion of the tournament). Other than beating Finland in their opening game, Slovakia has had a pretty easy path to the semifinals, only having to beat Italy and Germany.
Look for Team USA to roll to the gold medal game and cover the puck line for us tomorrow afternoon in Italy.
