After a week off, the UFC returns this week and is on the road yet again. Sean Strickland and Anthony Hernandez duel for a full crowd in Houston, Texas. This UFC Houston card is loaded up with incredible fights with some great spots to look for some high-value MMA bets, picks, and predictions.

Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC Houston
UFC Welterweight Fight: Ramiz Brahimaj vs Punahele Soriano
Start Time: Saturday (2/21) 5:00pm EST (Paramount+)
One of the early fights on Saturday night is between a pair of surging welterweights. While at one point, each looked dead in the water, now both Ramiz Brahimaj and Punahele Soriano are on three-fight win streaks. However, not all win streaks are created equal, even when they are of equal lengths.
Punahele Soriano has made some noise, but I’m not sold on its sustainability. His wins come against guys on massive losing streaks and have been largely reliant on his ability to score some takedowns. He’s 9-of-17 on takedowns in those three fights – so while he needs them, he hasn’t been all that efficient with them.
On the other side of things, Brahimaj once clung to his takedowns as a win method as well. However, since moving on over to Valle Flow Striking Academy, he has been a finish artist. His three fight win streak contains all finishes and a pair of performance bonuses. He’s dropping people with his hands and getting more aggressive with his grappling. Plus, he’s always been pretty solid at stuffing the takedown.
With as dangerous as Brahimaj has been lately, I don’t like Soriano’s chances of just trying to hold on for 15 minutes to get a victory.
