Prelim Pick of the Week: Oktagon 84
Oktagon Featherweight Fight: Lukas Zavicak vs Jack Maguire
Start Time: Saturday (2/14) 12:00pm EST (Oktagon.tv)
Buried on the prelims is perhaps the best value on the card. While some go digging for lines that are razor close, sometimes the best value is a favorite that the books just don’t like enough.
Lukas Zavicak enters this fight with a 6-6 record and having won just once in his last three fights. A lot of those results are due to the fact that he throws caution to the wind and acts like a wild man on the feet. In addition, while his wrestling can be a weapon, he often tires due to emptying the tank.
On the other side, we have a smart fighter in every sense of the word. Maguire lives behind his jab and works to pick apart his opponents. He also uses a Philly Shell from time-to-time in order to keep himself safe on defense. Between the sharp striking and smart defense, I expect Maguire will tire out Zavicak and cash this ticket for us.
