Columbus Blue Jackets vs Chicago Blackhawks
Start Time: 8:30 PM EST
With only 51 points in 53 games, you’d say that this is another crummy season for the Chicago Blackhawks. However, for a team that has averaged 60 points for a full 82-game season over the past four years, this season is a huge leap forward for the franchise.
But let’s not get it twisted – the Blackhawks are still not a good hockey team. Despite having Connor Bedard on their roster (he did miss 13 games earlier this season, however), they are 27th in the league in goals scored and a mediocre 17th in goals allowed.
As for Chicago’s opponents tomorrow night, the Columbus Blue Jackets? They’re kinda ok – a mediocre offense and a mediocre defense. However, the Blue Jackets are getting better, winning their last three games and seven of their last eight. And kinda ok is still better than the Blackhacks.
I’ll take Columbus on the moneyline as my best bet for Friday.
