Daily NBA Player Props – January 28th
Aaron Nesmith – Over 14.5 Points (-107)
Nesmith has been getting a lot more in the way of looks lately. He’s both taking and making more shots per game – particularly in the last two. The results is back-to-back games with 17 and 18 points scored, respectively. Now he gets a chance to keep that going against one of the very worst defenses in the league. The Bulls rank 26th in points allowed and 20th in three-pointers allowed. That includes letting 16 to drop from downtown last time out. If that were to continue, it should benefit Nesmith.
Jalen Suggs – Under 13.5 Points (-103)
While I like Suggs, he has not looked the same shooting the rock since he returned from injury. He just has 13 total points on 5-of-19 shooting over the last two games. Additionally, he’s just 1-of-9 from three-point and has started to lean on his passing more as a result. I expect him to continue to make progress as he feels better and better, but asking for 10 more than he scored last game feels like a big ask.
Brandon Miller – Over 20.5 Points (-114)
Miller went off last game for 30 points – which made it six of his last seven over this number. He’s been a huge part of this resurgence for the Hornets. As a result, I expect them to let him shoot away again when they head to Memphis. The Grizzlies rank 19th in the league in scoring defense and have given up 121.7 per game in their last three.
