It took Torrez Finney an unprecedented three wins on Dana White’s Contender Series to finally get himself a shot in the UFC. However, that is more a statement on Dana White’s casual fan mentality to evaluating talent than to the skills, or lack thereof, of Finney. That’s because Finney is a relentless wrestler, and Dana White says, “Just Bleed”.
Finney is a physical specimen that lives up to his ‘The Punisher’ moniker, and he’s facing Jacob Malkoun in a middleweight fight on Saturday, a fighter with a 20% takedown defense rate. Finney is going to take him down again and again, making the Australian fighter’s life miserable.
