Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks
Start Time – 5:00 PM EST
Something has to give when the Utah Jazz meet the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow afternoon. Neither team wants to win too many games this season, so who’s going to do the best tank job on Saturday?
The Jazz have started their annual tradition of keeping Lauri Markkanen on the sidelines due to various ‘ailments’, so he won’t be playing, while the Mavericks counter with Cooper Flagg in street clothes after spraining his ankle earlier this week. My line is Dallas -6, so the Mavs will win despite their best efforts.
Best Bet: Dallas -3.5 (-110)
Indiana Pacers vs Detroit Pistons
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
Then there’s the Indiana Pacers, who were expected to have a ‘gap year’ this season, but they’ve really taken to this tanking thing. A 10-32 record, but even worse, a 2-16 mark away from home. Blech. And that’s with Pascal Siakam playing in 40 of their 42 games.
So the Detroit Pistons are going to win tomorrow, I’m fairly certain. My line is Detroit -15, so let’s take the Pistons on the spread at home.
