Daily NBA Player Props – January 16th
Jalen Smith – Over 6.5 Rebounds (-101)
Smith has been a rebounding machine for the short-handed Bulls lately. He’s snagged nine or more rebounds in five of his last six games and is averaging 8.6 per game in the month of January. With Giddey still on the shelf, that doesn’t look to be falling off at the moment. Additionally, he gets a showdown with Brooklyn, who ranks 25th in the league in rebounding percentage – opening up plenty of chances for him to hit this mark.
Domantas Sabonis – Over 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)
The Sabonis return looks imminent on Friday as they face the Wizards at home. While I know this is a big ask in his first game back, the situation could not be better for him. The Wizards rank 27th in rebounding percentage and 29th in points allowed, which primes him for a big game. Additionally, the Kings have ranked dead last in rebounds without Sabonis, which means he should have the boards to himself.
Andrew Nembhard – Over 8.5 Assists (+121)
The month of January has been good to Nembhard – averaging 9.2 assists over his last five games. He’s 4-1 against this line in that same span of time. Now, he’s get a great matchup as the Pelicans come to town. They rank 28th in the league in points allowed with 122.2 per game, which should leave plenty of chances for him to pick up the dimes he needs.
