We start in the Gateway to the West, as the moribund St. Louis Blues host the elite Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blues are no good at scoring, but most importantly for our bet, they are also crummy at keeping the puck out of their own net.
So we’re going with the Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov to light the lamp tomorrow. He has a league-best 10 goals over his past 10 games, and 23 for the season, as he’s starting to heat up.
Nashville Predators vs Colorado Avalanche
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Yes, I’m picking a Colorado Avalanche player to score tomorrow night at home against the Nashville Predators, but it isn’t who you think. Nathan MacKinnon ‘only’ has six goals over his past 10 games, so he’s obviously in a terrible slump.
Teammate Brock Nelson has actually been hotter than MacKinnon, scoring eight goals in his last 10 games. He now has 22 goals and is on pace for the first 40-goal season of his career.
