With only five games on the NHL schedule tomorrow, and a couple of them with very unplayable lines, I had to go a little more chalky than I’d prefer for my best bet for Friday. But a winner is a winner.
And I expect the Tampa Bay Lightning to be the winner tomorrow as they visit the Blues in St. Louis. I’m not really going out on a limb in expecting that, as the Lightning, based on advanced statistics, are the best team in the Eastern Conference and the second-best in the league, while the Blues are at the bottom of the NHL rankings.
The Blues are a good team at their home rink, but the Lightning are a dominant team on enemy ice, with a league-best road record of 17-4-3.
All things considered, we’re actually getting a pretty decent moneyline on Tampa Bay as our best bet for Friday.
