Daily NBA Player Props – January 12th
Pascal Siakam – Under 35.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)
This seems like a high projection and Siakam hasn’t exactly been hitting it out of the park lately. He’s 3-4 against this number in his last seven games. Part of that is due to some reduced numbers on the dimes and boards. He’s hit the over in just one game where he didn’t score at least 30 points in the last month. Additionally, he’ll be up against Boston, who he didn’t meet this number with in either of thier previous matchups, and just so happen to rank 2nd in points allowed.
Daniel Gafford – Over 8.5 Rebounds (+114)
While Gafford is just 1-3 against this prop in his last four games, there is a lot to like about him on Monday. For one, he’s facing Brooklyn, who has been atrocious on the boards this year. They rank 25th in the league in rebounding percentage and are worse over their last five games. In addition, it’s a good day for Gafford as his teammate PJ Washington is on the shelf for today, which should open more chances for him.
Jake LaRavia – Over 10.5 Points (-116)
LaRavia has been destroying this projection over the last month. He has hit the over in four of the last five games that he’s played and is averaging 16.2 points per game in that span. The reduction in the projection is undoubtedly due to the return of Rui Hachimura. However, if you look back to Hacimura’s last five games played, LaRavia hit the over in four of the last five of those as well. So while he may not put up a banner day, expect him to stay relevant.
