San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles
Start Time: 4:30 PM EST
There will be no bye for the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, as the NFC East Champions ended up with the #3 seed and will be hosting the NFC West’s 12-5 San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Playoffs tomorrow.
It was a tumultuous season for the Eagles, as their once-potent offense fell off a cliff, while their defense remained stout, although not quite as stingy as last season. They also were mediocre on their home field, only winning five out of eight games at Lincoln Financial Field.
So I’m going with the road dogs, the Niners, in this matchup. The advanced stats give San Francisco the nod by over three points a game; they’ve played the stronger schedule this season, and they have the better offense. And, perhaps most importantly for tomorrow, the 49ers are 7-2 away from The Bay this season.
My line is San Francisco -1.5, so I’ll happily take them plus the points as my best bet tomorrow.
