Combat Sports Regional Pick of the Week: RAF05
RAF Featherweight Match: Jordan Oliver vs Real Woods
Card Start Time: Saturday (1/10), 8:00pm EST (FOX Nation)
In the second of four title matches on Saturday, we get a rematch of one of the closest matches in Real American Freestyle history. Jordan Oliver and Real Woods squared off for the featherweight title back in November at RAF03. Oliver walked away the champion after winning by criteria in a 2-2 nailbiter.
I’m having trouble coming up with a good reason that Jordan Oliver should be the underdog in the rematch. While it was close, I really liked the way that Oliver was attacking late in that contest. He had some solid front headlock positions and was pushing the action. He likely was really close to another point were he to be given another minute or so.
I favor Oliver to keep the belt in this one. Regardless of your feelings on the first one, this match should be a pick’em at worse for the champ. So to get him at such an elevated number is absolutely a gift.
