Daily NBA Player Props – January 8th
Nikola Vucevic – Over 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-105)
Vucevic has taken back over the floor with Josh Giddey out. The Bulls haven’t been as sharp all-around without the Aussie, but Vucevic is padding out his stat sheet. With Giddey out the last three games, Vucevic has hit this over in all three of those games. In two of them, he did not even need any assists to do so. He’s averaging 6.3 dimes per game in that span, so we’re talking about clearing this comfortably.
Cooper Flagg – Over 12.5 Rebounds + Assists (-120)
Cooper Flagg has been pretty inconsistent scoring the rock lately, but he has been really consistent everywhere else. He’s hit this over in four straight games and has not been under five rebounds or assists since December 20th. Utah is a great opportunity for both assists and rebounds. On one hand, they are in the bottom third of the league in shooting percentage – creating more than enough rebound chances. They also allow a league worst 127.1 points per game – which will lead to plenty of dimes.
Kyle Filipowski – Under 7.5 Rebounds (-124)
I’m not sure why the books are still so high on Filipowski’s rebounding chances. In an overtime game against the Thunder, the Duke product managed only four minutes on the court with the bulk of the big man action going to Jusuf Nurkic. They short playing time lead to his 9th under of this rebounding total in 10 games. He hasn’t hit eight rebounds since before Christmas and with the way his minutes are trending, I wouldn’t count on it here.
