Daily NBA Player Props – January 7th
Kon Knueppel – Over 18.5 Points (-105)
Coming out of the weekend, we were a little worried about the Hornets’ rookie’s health. He seemed to have a problem with his hip, but responded with 23 points against the best defensive team in the league – the Thunder. Not only does he have a much easier matchup in the Raptors, but is also looking like he might have to carry more of the load. Tidjane Salaun, Brandon Miller, and Moussa Diabate are all listed as questionable. Depending on who is available, that’s going to force a small lineup for Charlotte, creating mismatches in the process.
Alex Sarr – Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (+117)
The Wizards big man has been a touch up and down as of late, but when he can score, this PRA line looks like child’s play. When he scores at least 18 points, he is 11-3 against this line on the season. He’s coming off of scoring at least that much in four of his last six games, and he already has a good history with Philadelphia. In their previous meeting this year, he scored 31 – enough to not need any other stats to hit this over.
Anthony Black – Over 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-124)
Black is coming off of a stinker in a game against the Wizards. He put up just six points and went 0-5 from deep. Plus, he only added in five boards and four dimes. However, if you roll it back a bit further, he cleared this number with just his points on Sunday against the Pacers. In fact, he’s cleared this mark with just his points in three of his last five games. We’ve seen a nice uptick in assists with Jalen Suggs on the shelf. He’s put up 7.0 per game over his last three and that should help him easily carry this projection.
