NFL Playoff Futures Markets on Kalshi – January 5th

NFC Champion Market

Perhaps my favorite of the futures odds from all of Kalshi’s Prediction Market is the Bears to win the NFC. Let me be clear, I do not necessarily think they’ll be the NFC’s representative come February, but I do think that where you can trade them right now is comically low. While this may be a spot you could buy and profit big at the end, it also is one that you might feel great trading out of when it doubles or triples in value.

One of the major reasons that I think this is a great value is the low-buy point. The Bears are coming off an embarassing week 18 loss to the Lions. They didn’t seem to be all that geared up for the game and their offense – even according to Ben Johnson – was not firing on all cylinders. We know that the real Chicago Bears are likely in a better space than how they looked there.

The biggest reason I love this spot though, is that I think you’ll see this jump in value is their opening game. They start with a tough rivalry game against the Packers. After the loss to the Lions, people are likely counting them out of that one. However, the Bears took them out at home just three weeks ago and I think can replicate that success. Additionally, they are a tough team to play at home and would get another there if they do win. Expect odds to get far better just with a single win.

Bufflo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars

Heading to a specific game, this game is one that I think you can ride to the end for a cash, or could potentially trade out of as well.

On one side of things, the Jaguars come into the game white-hot. They have won eight straight with two of them coming against playoffs teams. The Bills on the other hand are limping into the postseason a bit. Prior to beating the Jets, they dropped one to the Eagles and barely were able to stave off the Browns. For me, that’s reason enough to get behind Jacksonville and ride it to the end.

However, if you are the type who might be looking to buy and get out when the going is good, there should be opportunities for that as well. The Jaguars offense has been particularly sharp in the first half this season. They are fresh off putting up 31 in the first half last game, and are 4th in the league in first round scoring. They’re even better over their last three games, where their 18.3 points per game is second best in the league. So if you like having the option to get out when you can, this may be the spot for you.

Playoff Combos on Kalshi – #5 Seeds

Combos for Kalshi are typically available a touch closer to the actual events, and you can find them through the Request For Quote (RFQ) system. However, the system is solid for finding and trading high value plays.

One combination that I’m looking to get in on is pairing the #5 seeds together. Both the Los Angeles Rams and the Houston Texans enter the playoffs as the best wild card spots. That honor does send them on the road, but to the very worst of the division champions. The Steelers were just one kick away from already being eliminated and the Panthers limped their way in on an ugly loss. Both #4 seeds are primed for an early exit and that’s an excellent place to test out the Combos feature of Kalshi.
