We start off what will be a very profitable year in the Pacific Northwest, where the Seattle Kraken host the Nashville Predators for the two teams’ first meeting of three this season.
Both teams are just kinda ok – hovering around the .500 mark – but the Kraken’s 39 points in 37 games have them ahead of the 78.5 they were predicted for heading into this season, so there’s that. Seattle is doing it with defense, ranking eighth in the league in goals against, to offset their league-worst offense.
Lucky for the home side, the Predators aren’t exactly a high-scoring outfit either, ranking in the bottom portion of the league in scoring. Plus, the Kraken are better at home than the Predators are on the road.
