Daily NBA Player Props – December 30th
Kyle Filipowski – Under 6.5 Rebounds (-112)
I’ve been a far of what Filipowski can do when he’s on the court, but he just isn’t getting on the court as much anymore. Over his last four games, he’s only averaging 20.4 minutes per game, which is a over five-minute reduction from his average earlier this month. Additionally, that’s led to a huge dropoff in his rebounds. He started this month 5-2 to the over on this prop, and has gone 1-4 since that time. I just don’t see him logging enough minutes here to get to seven – especially against a Celtics team that stays small.
Jake LaRavia – Over 10.5 Points (-105)
LaRavia likely draws the start with Rui Hachimura out until the new year. It’ll be just his 9th start of the year, but he’s put up decent numbers in many of them. His average points per game may be just 8.7, but it balloons to 10.7 when he is in the starting lineup. His last two starts has seen an easy over on the projection – as have four of his last five games. With him getting more busy with his shot attempts, even off the bench, I think
Cade Cunningham – Over 9.5 Assists (-119)
Cunningham has been dishing the ball well lately. He’s been seven straight games with at least nine rebounds, and is averaging 11.1 over that span. Additionally, he’s averaging 13.3 per game over his last three. The Lakers are a below average defensive team prone to getting into shootouts. If that’s the case, Cunningham should be involved enough in the passing game to pick up double digit dimes on Tuesday.
