East Tennessee State at The Citadel
Start Time: 6:00 PM EST
East Tennessee State comes into this game with an 8-5 overall record and a 1-4 mark on the road. The Buccaneers are 6-5 overall against the spread and 1-4 ATS on the road.
The Citadel enters this matchup with a 3-10 overall record and a 3-3 mark at home. These Bulldogs are 3-7 ATS overall and 0-3 ATS at home.
The Citadel has three wins at home, and none are against a DI program. They have lost to Bellarmine, Charleston Southern, and Houston Christian by double-digits at home.
ETSU has lost three games in a row. They were competitive against Austin Peay and Jacksonville State, but got wrecked at North Carolina. This is the ‘Get Right’ spot that the Buccaneers have been waiting for. ETSU has beaten The Citadel by at least 10 points in three straight matchups dating back to 2024.
The Citadel is one of the 10-worst programs in the nation this year. They can’t really score, and they don’t defend. ETSU has the 53rd-best shooting percentage on two-point shots. The Citadel allows opponents to shoot 49.8% on two-pointers. That’s 355th in the nation against DI opponents.
East Tennessee State needs to get back in the win column, and The Citadel is the ideal team to feast on. The Buccaneers will win on the road and cover the 12.5 points. Lock up ETSU and lay the 12.5 points.
Best Bet: ETSU -12.5
Western Michigan at Toledo
Start Time: 6:30 PM EST
Western Michigan comes into this game with a 6-7(!) overall record and a 1-5 road mark. The Broncos are 5-5-1 against the spread overall and 1-4-1 ATS on the road.
Toledo enters this matchup with a 6-6 overall record and a 4-2 mark at home. The Rockets are 4-5-1 ATS overall and 1-3 ATS at home.
Both teams are off buy game wins over lower division programs. Western Michigan started MAC play at home and lost to Buffalo by 17. Toledo has wins over Wright State, Youngstown State, and Troy. All of those teams are significantly better than Western Michigan.
Western Michigan is a bottom-100 program in the nation. The Broncos struggle to score and can’t really stop opponents from putting up points. Toledo is also a tough watch on defense at times, but Western Michigan is 269th in the nation in turnovers surrendered.
On offense, Toledo can fill it up. The Rockets have a top-100 offense in the nation, and should find a lot of open looks against a Western Michigan team that can’t really defend the paint or the perimeter. Let’s lock up Toledo runs away with this one and lay the 10.5 points.
Best Bet: Toledo -10.5
Nevada at Colorado State
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Nevada comes into this matchup with a 9-3 overall record and a 1-1 road mark. The Wolfpack is 5-6-1 ATS overall and 1-1 ATS on the road.
Colorado State enters this game with an 8-3 overall record and a 6-1 mark at home. The Rams are 8-3 ATS overall and 4-2 ATS at home.
Colorado State is coming into this game off an absolute beatdown at the hands of Utah State in Logan, UT. The Rams have been at home for 10 days thinking about that loss, and they get Nevada coming into Fort Collins.
Nevada is riding high on a five-game winning streak with wins at home over Boise State, Duquesne, and UC-San Diego. The Wolfpack also beat San Francisco on a neutral site and won at Washington State. That winning streak is coming to an end tonight at Colorado State.
Colorado State has the most efficient offense in the nation, and these Rams are also leading the country in three-point shooting percentage. They were terrible against Utah State. The Rams should look much better at home after the break. Nevada isn’t bad defensively, but they’re playing only their third true road game, and first road game in Mountain West play. They’ll be buried under a barrage of three’s as the Rams get back on track and cover the 3.5 points.
Best Bet: Colorado State -3.5
