Best Bet For Tuesday (December 30th): NHL Predictions
Montreal Canadiens vs Florida Panthers
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
It’s a strange new NHL world that we live in, seeing the Montreal Canadiens higher in the Atlantic Division standings than the back-to-back defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers. But the times they are a-changin’. More precisely, injuries are real, and missing Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk this season has taken its toll on the Panthers.
However, Florida is keeping its head above water, and Tkachuk is expected back soon. Plus, the champs have some positive momentum going, winning six of their last eight games, including Monday night at home against the Washington Capitals.
While the visiting Canadiens have a slightly better record than the Panthers, the advanced stats still favor the champs. And, with this game being played on their home ice, the advantage tilts ever more so slightly in their favor.
This all makes the Florida Panthers on the moneyline my best bet for Tuesday.
