Daily NBA Player Props – December 27th
Michael Porter Jr. – Over 23.5 Points (-107)
Sure, the Timberwolves are one of the better defensive teams that Porter Jr. has faced this month, but he has been crushing this projection. He’s 7-1 against this line in the month of December with an average of 28.6. In fact, he’d be 6-2 if you moved the line all the way up to 27.5. The Nets aren’t a quality team, but Porter Jr. is scoring about a quarter of their points every time out. If you think they’ll crack 100 in this game, he should be an easy cash.
Josh Giddey – Over 8.5 Assists (-107)
We whiffed on Giddey with his PRA on Friday, but that was largely due to a slow day scoring. That’s been the case for him for a few games now thanks to picking up the slack with the assists. With Colby White and Zach Collins back in action, Giddey is finding more chances to dish the ball. He’s put up double digit dimes in four of his last five and five of his last seven. Milwaukee is a below average defense, which should lead to plenty more chances for Giddey to fill out the stat sheet.
Maxime Reynaud – Over 9.5 Rebounds (+119)
Reynaud has been amazing for the Kings as of late and at a time when they really need quality minutes. Once again they’ll be without Domantas Sabonis, Drew Eubanks, Keegan Murray and Zach LaVine. With a lot of those guys missing and all the extra burn, Reynaud has posted double digit rebounds in three of his last four games – averaging 11.0 per game in the process. The Mavericks are 23rd in the league in rebounding percentage, which should get Reynaud plenty of chances on the boards.
