Seattle Seahawks vs Carolina Panthers
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
Playoff possibilities loom large as the 12-3 Seattle Seahawks head east to face the 8-7 Carolina Panthers tomorrow afternoon in Charlotte. The Seahawks are on the verge of clinching the NFC West, and a win would also boost their chances at a #1 seed in the playoffs. The Panthers, meanwhile, are still in a fight for their playoff lives, so every win matters.
Despite their win-loss record, the Panthers really aren’t a very good football team, at least according to advanced stats. They have an above-average defense, but an anemic offense. And it goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyhow) that the Seahawks are the superior team. Seattle has played the harder schedule; their offense is light-years better than Carolina’s, and their defense is way better as well.
This all adds up to a Seattle win on the road in my eyes. My line is Seattle -14.5, so I like the Seahawks to cover the spread for us tomorrow.
