While I don’t know what Santa brought you for Christmas, I do know what he didn’t leave any of us – a busy Boxing Day in the sports world. Central Michigan Chippewas vs Northwestern Wildcats
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
The holiday season can be a tough time for a degenerate, but you have to be resourceful. You have to be willing to bet on the prestigious GameAbove Sports Bowl between a couple of mediocre college football teams like the 7-5 Central Michigan Chippewas and the 6-6 Northwestern Wildcats. So that’s just what we’ll do.
This yearly Big Ten vs MAC bowl game has been dominated by the larger conference, the Big Ten, and the Big Ten team is favored in this matchup as well. However, my numbers are leaning ever so slightly to the Chippewas on the spread.
In a battle between two defensive-minded teams, Central Michigan is the squad with the offensive advantage. Plus, the Chippewas will probably have a bit of a home-field advantage in this one, being the closer school.
My line is Northwestern -8, so while I’m picking the Illinois school to win, I like the Michigan one on the spread.
