Last week, we got let down. Perhaps I should have been more flashy and taken a guy like Chimere Dike instead of James Cook or Woody Marks. Still, we’re going to keep on rolling and hoping for that five pick hit. Let’s take a look at the NFL week 17 touchdown bets I’m feeling will cash this weekend with my NFL bets!
NFL Week 17 Anytime Touchdowns
Chase brown (-170)
First up on the list of players I’m circling for NFL Week 17 anytime touchdown bets is Chase Brown. He’s juiced way up to -170, and I don’t plan on picking all chalk. However, this one I cannot avoid. Brown is coming off a big game where he scored one rushing touchdown and two receiving touchdowns.
Brown has been productive all year, but his touchdowns have really started hitting in the last couple of weeks. In fact, he has five touchdowns in the last three games. I don’t think that will slow down when the Cincinnati Bengals host the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals are allowing almost one touchdown per game to running backs on the ground. They average a touchdown every three games to a running back through the air. The Bengals should be able to move the ball efficiently against this defense. I think they’ll especially emphasize the run gam,e and Brown will get into the endzone. Not a great value as a standalone anytime touchdown bet. However, it’ll be great in your parlay.
James Cook (-105)
My next pick among my NFL week 17 anytime touchdown bets is James Cook at -105. Last year, James Cook led the league in rushing touchdowns. This year hasn’t been as productive. However, he’s still putting up plenty of touchdowns. In fact, he has two in each of the last two games. Therefore, his price of -105 is quite puzzling.
Does it feel like a trap? Absolutely. Am I jumping into it anyway? Also yes. The Eagles have allowed an average of 0.8 rushing touchdowns to running backs each game. This game is in Buffalo, and the forecast calls for colder temps and potential snow. Look for the Bills and Eagles to both emphasize the run game.
The run game runs through James Cook. In fact, he has averaged 22 carries per game in the last four games. Look for him to continue to get a heavy workload, which will lead him into the endzone. Go ahead and bet the over on his longest rush as well. It’s been hitting at a great rate this year.
Zach Charbonnet (+100)
We’ll continue our list of NFL week 17 anytime touchdowns with Zach Charbonnet at +100. Kenneth Walker’s fantasy managers hate Zach Charbonnet. However, they don’t matter, and the coaching staff loves him. Charbonnet had actually gone on a two-game streak of having no touchdowns. He made it up to us last week by scoring one. I think he’ll score one again this week.
The Seahawks need to keep winning to try and lock down the number one seed. This week, they play the Panthers. Next week, it’s their division rival, the 49ers. Hopefully, they don’t get caught in a look-ahead spot. Either way, I think the Seahawks will be competitive, and Charbonnet will find the endzone.
The Panthers allow an average of .93 touchdowns per game to running backs on the ground. Charbonnet has nine rushing touchdowns on the ground this year and will be looking to make it ten.
David Montgomery (+135)
Next up on our list of NFL Week 17 anytime touchdowns is David Montgomery. I know he hasn’t been as productive as normal. Still, he tends to show up in a big way on holidays. The Lions face off against the Vikings on Christmas Day and should be playing with a chip on their shoulder.
They still have a small, small chance to make the playoffs. They need to win, though. Therefore, I expect their foot to be on the gas the entire game against an inferior Vikings team, who may be starting Max Brosmer. The Vikings’ defense is middle-of-the-road. However, they are better at stopping the pass rather than the run.
Monty didn’t score a touchdown last week, but had gotten in the endzone in each of the three prior weeks. The Lions tend to do better when Monty scores a touchdown, and he’ll do so this week. I expect both Monty and Gibbs to eat this week, but I liked Monty’s price better.
Drake Maye (+220)
Last on the list of NFL Week 17 anytime touchdowns is Drake Maye. This one is more of a long-shot pick at +220. However, with his running backs banged up, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Drake Maye sneak one in there. The Patriots play the Jets, who have been an absolute mess. The Patriots will need to keep their foot on the gas as they hope to lock up the number one seed.
Drake Maye has only run for four rushing touchdowns this year. However, two have been in the last two weeks. He’s using his legs a little bit more, and I think he’ll be able to do so this weekend, too. Even if it’s just a short yardage situation, Maye will look to find the endzone, and when he does, it juices up our payouts and parlays.
