NFL Week 16 Defensive Player Props – Best Bets
Our Favorite Sack Props
Austin Booker – CHI (+270)
While Jordan Love hasn’t been the easiest quarterback to take down, he’s been a lot easier to track down lately. He’s been sacked four times over the last two weeks and seven times in the last five. The Bears are aggressive with their pass rush and saw some great results last week. One of those guys getting into the backfield a lot lately is Austin Booker. With a primetime date on Saturday, I like his chances to blow up Love’s spot at least once.
Kyle Van Noy – BAL (+225)
I’m here for the Kyle Van Noy revenge game. After spending five seasons with the Patriots, he’s going to get a chance to take away their hope for the number one seed in the AFC. While he and the Ravens don’t have a ton of sacks on the season, they are going up against one of the least protected quarterbacks in the league. Maye has been sacked 43 times in just 14 games and recently loss Will Campbell up front. Look for the Ravens and Van Noy to take advantage.
Our Favorite Tackle Props
A.J. Terrell Jr. – ATL – Over 4.5 Tackles and Assists (+105)
Terrell Jr. has been hanging out righ around this number – splitting an even 2-2 over the last four games. However, he’s got a great matchup here to rack up the tackles. The Cardinals are the number two team in the league in terms of pass percentage, which should open up more opportunities for the defensive backs. Additionally, they have been passing at an even higher clip with Jacoby Brissett under center and their running backs banged up.
Carson Schwesinger – CLE – Over 9.5 Tackles and Assists (-110)
Schwesinger leads the Browns in total tackles this year with 133, and he’s got the best opportunity to add to that here. The Bills runs the ball a higher percentage of times than any team in the league right now. Additionally, Schwesinger has been in double figures for six straight games. There is no reason to thing he shouldn’t do exactly the same here again.
Our Favorite Interception Props
Dax Hill – CIN (+700)
In the last four weeks, the Bengals have been turning up the heat with their defensive backs. They have five picks in the last four weeks and those come against Joe Burrow (two interceptions), Lamar Jackson (two over two games), and Drake Maye (one). Now they have the pleasure of welcoming Quinn Ewers to the NFL. If someone back there is getting one, why not Dax Hill. He’s been getting his hand to a lot of passes lately without pulling down an interception. This could be the one he grabs.
Kool-Aid McKinstry – NO (+400)
Don’t look now, but the Saints have been getting some turnovers lately as well. They have an interception in four of their last five games. While the quarterbacks they’ve faced haven’t been great, neither will Brady Cook. With 63 attempts this year, he has already thrown five interceptions. If we like anyone on the Saints, it has to be McKinstry. He picked off Tua Tagovailoa three weeks ago and leads the team in pass deflections.
