NFL Prop Shop: Top Week 16 Player Prop Bets

Week 16 started off with a bang in Seattle. Both teams exploded with offensive production, we got extra football, and an exciting finish. Hopefully, that’s a good tone setter for the rest of Week 16, which picks up on Saturday with a special double header. Let’s dive into the remaining games and find the top NFL Week 16 player prop bets.

MYBOOKIE BONUS

Saturday’s double header starts with the Eagles at Commanders, and wraps up with the Packers in Chicago. Sunday brings us a few thrillers in the early window as the Buccaneers and Panthers battle for NFC South supremacy in Carolina. The Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys should have an exciting game. The afternoon window brings a heavyweight AFC match between the Jaguars and Broncos. While the Steelers and Lions face off. Sunday night is Drake Maye v Lamar Jackson. And Monday Night Football puts Phillip Rivers in primetime against the 49ers.

Jalen Hurts Over 28.5 Rushing Yards (-112)

Let’s kick things off with a Saturday game. The Eagles aren’t necessarily in win-or-die mode, but they are still battling to secure that NFC East title and the best spot they can in the postseason. They got things back on track last week against a bad Raiders squad, and part of that was using Hurts legs. He rushed seven times for 39 yards. We all know about the tush push and the yards he can gain from that, but don’t forget that he’s capable of getting out of the pocket and running downfield as well.

He’s gone over 29 rushing yards in four of the last five games and had at least 22 yards on the ground in six of the last seven Eagles games this season. Against the Commanders in the regular season, Hurts has had at least 28 rushing yards in three straight games and four of the last five. The Commanders just allowed Jaxson Dart to dash for 63 yards against them last week.

Gardner Minshew Over 210.5 Passing Yards (-113)

The Chiefs are one of my favorite teams to bet on this week. Patrick Mahomes goes down, they get eliminated from the playoffs, and everyone just thinks they don’t exist anymore. This is still a good football team that has some pride to play for. They get to rally around Gardner Minshew this week, a good locker room guy that everyone loves. And they can win one for Patrick. Next week against the Broncos will probably be a different story, but this week, they get the Titans. A bad football team.

In eight games in a row, the Titans have given up more than 222 passing yards. Geno Smith, on the only team worse than Tennessee, was held to less. In total, 12 quarterbacks have thrown for over this number against the Titans this year. Minshew’s last two starts for the Raiders last year, he easily surpassed this number, on a lesser team with worse weapons. He threw for 209 or more yards in six of 10 games in 2024. Kansas City will smoke Tennessee, and Minshew will make it look easy.

Justin Jefferson Over 55.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

I know, if you’ve been playing Justin Jefferson in fantasy football this year, my thoughts are with you. It’s been a tough season for the superstar that is Justin Jefferson. Minnesota is now eliminated from the playoffs, and that helps us out here. The team can focus on letting NINE, aka JJ McCarthy, throw the ball and get more comfortable. On top of that, head coach Kevin O’Connell has already publicly recognized that his superstar Justin Jefferson is sitting 168 yards shy of his sixth 1,000-yard season in as many years.

Sunday’s gameplan will involve getting the ball to Jefferson early and often and letting him do his thing. The Giants are one of the worst pass defenses in the league, allowing 228.9 yards per game through the air. This low number would have never been a thought before, but this is the week to jump on it. Put your faith in KOC to scheme up ways to get Jefferson his yards on Sunday.

Drake Maye Over 242.5 Passing Yards (-113)

We’re riding it back again on Sunday Night Football with Drake Maye. It didn’t work out last week due to an odd game script that just didn’t need Maye to throw the ball, despite him and the Patriots looking good. They get a chance to bounce back in prime time in front of the world after blowing a 21-0 lead last week, and they get to do it as home underdogs. Drake Maye MVP game loading. Before last week, this bet had hit for us in four straight weeks.

Since Week 2, Maye has passed for over 200 yards while having a passer rating of 100+ in 10 of the 14 games. He’s surpassed the 200-yard mark in all 13 Patriots games this year, with the exception of last week. And gone over this total in 10 games, including the last six of the last seven. He’s yet to hit 300 yards, but still sits near the top of the league in passing yardage because of his consistency week to week.
