Oscar for Best Actor?
The world on entertainment awards can be tough when trying to call a winner. That’s sort of the beauty of the predictions market instead of straight wagers – you can buy the potential for growth in the odds.
As you can see, the market is heating up for Ethan Hawke for his portrayal of Lorenz Hart in Blue Moon. He’s picked up eight percentage points recently and seems like the climb might continue. Timothee Chalamet, on the other hand is fading as the most likely candidate. Additionally, Leonardo DiCaprio’s nomination for his role in One Battle After Another seems unlikely as that film seems poised to win best picture – with only one movie hitting both those awards in the last 23 years.
So while the market is hard to get exactly right, there is reason to see this as a buy low opportunity in Hawke’s probability.
NFL – Offensive Player of the Year Winner?
Speaking of buy-low opportunities, I think there is a great chance to do just that with Puka Nacua in the Offensive Player of the Year market. For one, there are going to be some percentage points up for grabs as Jonathan Taylor continues to sink. The quarterback play for the Colts just won’t open up enough for him to get anything going and you can expect his price to plummet.
Additionally, the Rams are playing for a lot right now. Matthew Stafford is currently second in the league in passing yards and looking to win that title. Also, they are tied for a first round bye and are going to be looking to put the pedal to the metal down the stretch. If they go into Seattle on Thursday and come out with a win, look for Nacua to make a huge jump on Smith-Njigba and make gains for his backers.
