Daily NBA Player Props – December 17th
Josh Giddey – Under 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists(-111)
While I love Josh Giddey and he put up some gaudy numbers early, he simply is not doing that anymore. He’s 1-3 against this line in his last four games while averaging 28.8 PRA in that span. A game against Cleveland isn’t going to be much help either. They are a better than average defensive team, who has been improving on the defensive side lately. With Chicago giving their younger players a bit more run as they tail off, expect Giddey to keep hitting unders.
Dean Wade – Over 5.5 Rebounds (+125)
With Evan Mobley on the sidelines, you might expect Jarrett Allen to be the beneficiary of the extra rebounds going up. Instead, it has been all about Dean Wade, who is suddenly putting up marks. In his last four games, the Kansas St. product has put up 6.3 rebounds per game – which includes a pair of games with eight. The Bulls rank 19th in rebounding percentage, which should only help matters for him.
Jaren Jackson Jr. – Under 1.5 Three-Pointers (-123)
Switching over to the other game on the day, I’m going to take a little recency bias and use it against the books. Jaren Jackson Jr. managed to bury four three-pointers last game on just five attempts. I’m not buying that though, as he had been five straight games prior to that without making one. On top of that, I just don’t trust the volume. He hasn’t taken more than five in a game in almost a month, and he’s not about to shoot over 60% again.
