Fantasy Playoffs Are a Trap and I Brought Cody Zeeb to Help You Escape | Stephie Smalls Show 12.16.25

I love the fantasy football playoffs because they convince otherwise rational adults that one more waiver wire pickup will finally bring them peace. This week on The Stephie Smalls Show, I sat down with Cody Zeeb from SGPN to do what we do best: talk people off ledges, gently push them toward better decisions, and occasionally hand them a rope made of player props.

We got right into the stuff that keeps you up at night. Quarterback streamers that feel illegal but might actually work. Tight ends that technically exist and therefore qualify as starters. Running backs who were on nobody’s radar six weeks ago and are now being spoken about in hushed, hopeful tones. Cody and I debated names like Trevor Lawrence, Michael Carter, Darren Waller, Jayden Reed, and Justin Jefferson, because nothing says “playoffs” like starting someone you swore you’d never trust again.

Then we turned our attention to Thursday Night Football: Rams vs Seahawks, aka “the game you’re absolutely watching even though you claim to hate TNF.” We talked Kyren Williams (a man who refuses to leave fantasy lineups), Matthew Stafford’s arm, Sam Darnold’s vibes, and whether certain props are sharp or just emotionally comforting. We also wandered into interception props, longest plays, and the type of bets you only make when you’ve stared at matchup data for too long.

If you’re stressed, second-guessing everything, or just want to feel slightly smarter before setting your lineup, this episode is for you. If nothing else, Cody and I will remind you that everyone else is guessing too—we just sound more confident while doing it.
