Matt Dewoskin ATS College Basketball Picks Record (Est 11/3/2025)
All Selections: 78-52-2
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 9-35
Creighton at Xavier
Start Time: 6:30 PM EST
Creighton comes into this game with a 5-5 overall record and a 0-2 record on the road. The Blue Jays are 3-7 against the spread and 0-2 ATS on the road.
Xavier enters this matchup with an 8-3 overall record and a 7-1 mark at home. The Musketeers are 6-5 ATS and 4-4 ATS at home.
Creighton has suffered a pair of injuries that have them in a tailspin. The Blue Jays have dropped two in a row and three of their last five. They have road losses at Nebraska and at Gonzaga.
Xavier is on a five-game winning streak that includes wins over West Virginia at a neutral site and at home against Cincinnati.
Creighton is really struggling offensively. They don’t shoot well from range, and they’ve been rough defensively. The Blue Jays have struggled to defend the perimeter this year. However, the area of concern here is that Xavier has been cautious with the ball this year. The Musketeers are fourth in the nation in turnovers allowed. Creighton won’t get many second chances, and Xavier is playing better ball on both ends of the floor. It could be a long night for Creighton in the Cintas Center.
Let’s lock up Xavier to roll at home in their Big East opener and cover the three points.
Best Bet: Xavier -3
Georgetown at Marquette
Start Time: 8:30 PM EST
Georgetown comes into this game with a 7-3 overall record and a 1-1 road mark. The Hoyas are 2-8 ATS and 1-1 ATS on the road.
Marquette enters this matchup with a 5-6 overall record and a 5-2 home record. The Golden Eagles are 2-8-1 ATS and 2-5 ATS at home.
Marquette has lost three of their last four and has been really rough at home against the spread. The Golden Eagles have been rough on the offensive end at times this year. Marquette lost a lot this offseason and has struggled to really find their engine on offense. They’ve been solid defensively, but they’ve struggled inside and outside.
Georgetown has seen a bit of a renaissance this year with improved guard play and muscle on the inside. The Hoyas can also rebound, and they don’t turn the ball over. Finally, fading Shaka Smart as a favorite has been a system play. Let’s lock up the Hoyas to keep this game close on the road, and sprinkle the money line.
Best Bet: Georgetown +5
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Stephen F. Austin
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi comes into this matchup with a 4-5 record overall and a 1-5 record on the road. The Islanders are 3-3 ATS and 3-3 ATS on the road.
Stephen F. Austin enters this game with a 6-2 overall record and is 5-0 at home. The Lumberjacks are 5-2 overall ATS and 3-0 ATS at home.
Texas A&M-CC is a bottom-50 team on offense so far this year. The Islanders come into this game averaging only 62.3 points per game against DI opponents this year. However, they come into this matchup on a two-game winning streak. They have a win at home over a lower division program and a win at Lamar.
SFA is also on a two-game winning streak. They cooked ULM and beat UT-RGV in Nacogdoches. The Lumberjacks have by far the better shooting team, have the better defense, and get to play in their gym. SFA should win and cover the number comfortably. The Islanders are a mediocre team on a winning streak, going on the road against one of the better teams in the Southland Conference. Let’s lock up SFA laying the 7.5 points.
Best Bet: SFA -7.5
