We’ll start things off with an all-Canadian matchup in frigid Winnipeg (I assume it’s always frigid in Winnipeg, especially in December). The hometown Winnipeg Jets have one of the hottest players in the league, who is having a career year.
That would be center Gabriel Vilardi. The 26-year-old has eight goals over his last 10 games, bringing his season total up to 16. He’s in good shape to beat his previous career high for goals, 27, that he just set last season.
Nashville Predators vs St. Louis Blues
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Former two-time NHL leading scorer Steven Stamkos is proving once again that age is just a number, as his 12 goals this season for the Nashville Predators are a team high. Stamkos is on pace for the 10th season of 30+ goals for his career.
And he’s been hot lately, also netting eight goals over his past 10 contests, just like Vilardi.
