Daily NBA Player Props – December 10th
Chet Holmgren – Over 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (+101)
The end of November was pretty ugly for Holmgren, but he seems to have found his footing in Decemeber. Each of his last seven games has seen him come up with at least eight rebounds and one or more assists. That means we’re only looking at needing 21 points – at most – to cash this plus-money play. He’s hit that in three of his last five and against teams that are much tougher than Phoenix on defense.
Grayson Allen – Under 2.5 Three-Pointers (+127)
I’ve been all over Grayson Allen and his three-pointers, but I think it’s time to jump ship. Not only is he taking less, but he’s making far less lately. Over the last couple weeks, he’s shaved an attempt off of his season average. In addition, he hasn’t hit three in a single game since November 12th. He’s made just two of his last 15 attempts, and is looking at less attempts with Devin Booker likely back in the fold. Add in that the Thunder are the best defensive team in the league and I just can’t see him sinking three on Wednesday.
Stephon Castle – Over 5.5 Assists (-103)
Castle was tearing apart this line right up until his injury. He averaged 10.6 assists per game over the last five games that he was healthy. He returned from that injury to putting up just five, which likely brought this number down. However, he played just 23 minutes in that game versus his 31.4 minute per game average this season. I don’t think he’ll get all the way back to where he was, but he’ll be closer being that this is an NBA Cup game. That should give him a chance to find another assist.
