Much like your Thanksgiving dinner, the college hoops slate for November 30th looks a lot like leftovers right now. A few MTEs still need to wrap up, and we have a few mid- and low-majors with non-conference games, but this is more of a ‘we can still make sandwiches’ day than a ‘let us feast’ day. However, it’s not the size of the slate that matters; it’s our ability to dig for best bets that counts. We’ve put together three college basketball picks that you’ll want to lock up as you polish off whatever’s left of the turkey.

Matt Dewoskin ATS College Basketball Picks Record (Est 11/3/2025)
All ATS Selections: 46-33-2
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 3-23
The Citadel at Presbyterian
Start Time: 4:00 PM EST
This game is not a part of an MTE, but it will be played on a neutral site. These two teams will meet at Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC.
The Citadel enters this matchup with an overall record of 2-5, but the Bulldogs are 0-5 ATS in games that actually had lines. Of the games the Bulldogs have played that had lines, they’ve lost by at least seven in every game against a DI opponent.
Presbyterian comes into this game with an overall record of 4-5, and the Blue Hose are 4-3 in games that had lines. The Blue Hose have wins over a Georgia State team that’s almost as rough as The Citadel and a surprise win against East Tennessee State. They’ve also been in a couple of blowout losses to Power-Five schools that have skewed their results.
Year-to-date, The Citadel has played like a bottom-10 team in the country. The Bulldogs are especially bad on the defensive end, and that should help a Presbyterian offense that hasn’t been very good. The Citadel has been close, but they’ve yet to really hang with anyone. Let’s continue to bank on the Bulldogs being unable to stop anyone on defense, and lay the 6.5 points with Presbyterian. Lock up the Blue Hose to win and cover.
Best Bet: Presbyterian -6.5
Alabama A&M at Coastal Carolina
Start Time: 3:30 PM EST
This game is a true home game for Coastal Carolina and is in Conway, SC.
Alabama A&M enters this matchup with a 3-2 record overall. They’re 0-2 in road games and 2-2 ATS.
Coastal Carolina comes into this game with a 4-3 record overall. The Chanticleers are 2-0 at home and 4-2 ATS.
The path to a cover for Coastal Carolina is clear in this one. Alabama A&M has a bottom-50 offense in the nation. The Bulldogs have only gone over 70 points once this year against a DI opponent. They managed 74 against a Lindenwood team that has a bottom-20 defense in the nation. Coastal Carolina is one of the better defensive teams in the Sun Belt Conference. The Chants should be able to limit scoring and get enough on the offensive end to cover the number. Also, fading HBCUs on the road in campus games has become a system play over the years.
Let’s lock up Coastal Carolina to win and cover the number in this matchup.
Best Bet: Coastal Carolina -6.5
Colgate at Fordham
Start Time: 3:30 PM EST
This game is a part of the Northern Classic MTE in Laval, Quebec.
Both of these teams recently played Albany in the Northern Classic. Colgate won and didn’t cover, while Fordham just drilled the Great Danes by 20.
Colgate enters this one with a 4-4 overall record, but they have a 5-2 record ATS in games with point spreads.
Fordham comes into this game with a 6-2 overall record. The Rams also have a 3-2 record ATS.
Colgate has played better competition to date and has a stronger roster on paper. Defensively, these teams are about equal in most key metrics, but Colgate has a better offense. Colgate struggled against Albany but had a chance to get right against a lower division opponent, and Fordham is coming off a blowout win. Let’s ride with Colgate to win this outright. Lock up the Toothpaste Company!
Best Bet: Colgate -1
