Matt Dewoskin ATS College Basketball Picks Record (Est 11/3/2025)
All ATS Selections: 43-30-2
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 3-21
Siena at Longwood
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
This game will be played in Washington, D.C. as a part of the Capital Thanksgiving Classic.
Siena enters this game at 4-2 overall and 3-3 ATS. The Saints have wins over Holy Cross, Albany, Brown, and Bryant. They beat Holy Cross and Brown away from Siena, NY.
Longwood comes into this matchup at 303 overall and only 1-4 ATS. Their only wins against DI programs came at home against James Madison and Binghamton.
Siena is a clearly superior basketball team to Longwood. The Saints have a methodical approach to offense that often leads to better positions, while Longwood plays a more chaotic style on offense that can lead to turnovers. Siena should roll and cover the number with ease. The Saints are good enough that they should lay points with most other small-majors. Their only losses are to St. Bonaventure and Colgate. Longwood isn’t in the same class as those programs. Lock up Siena to win and cover.
Best Bet: Siena -4.5
Texas State at Seattle
Start Time: 2:00 PM EST
This game will be played in Las Vegas, NV as a part of the Resorts World Classic MTE.
Texas State comes into this game as an ATS darling. The Bobcats have gone 5-1 ATS in games played with a line and 6-2 overall. Texas State has wins over regional small-majors like Abilene Christian, Little Rock, and Texas Southern. Their two losses came against mid-majors Bowling Green and Tulane.
Seattle enters this matchup at 4-1 overall, but only 2-3 ATS. They’ve only managed to cover in an upset win over Stanford and smashing Eastern Washington.
Both of these teams play a grinding, defensive-minded style. However, Texas State does a better job of limiting possessions, rebounding, and generating takeaways.
Texas State played a lower division school on 11/24, but Seattle has been off for the last week, and this is their first game since beating Stanford. The situation says that this could be a let-down spot for Seattle on an unusual floor at a neutral site. Let’s take Texas State and the points to stay within the number.
Best Bet: Texas State +7.5
Albany at Colgate
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
This game will be played in Laval, Quebec as a part of the Northern Classic MTE.
Colgate comes into this game at 2-4, but they’ve been off since November 20th. Colgate has wins over Siena and Drexel. The Raiders are 5-1 ATS so far this year.
Albany also enters this matchup at 2-4, and they last played on November 21st. Their last game was a 10-point loss to Siena. The Great Danes have only beaten teams from lower divisions of college basketball this year. Albany is 1-3 ATS this season.
Colgate has the better roster, superior defense, and a more potent offense. These teams both played Siena in Siena, NY in the past week. Colgate won by three, while Albany lost by 10. The line is a bit short for this game, but it’s hard to see the Great Danes staying within the number here. The Great Danes have a transfer portal roster that has yet to beat a DI team this year. They’re not going to pick off Colgate for their first ‘real’ win. Let’s lock up Colgate to roll in this one. The Raiders should win by double-digits.
Best Bet: Colgate -5.5
