Week 13 is here, and if your fantasy roster looks like a clearance rack at TJ Maxx, congratulations—you’re exactly who I recorded this week’s episode for. I brought on my friend and Footballguys legend Sam Wagman to help me sift through the post-Thanksgiving fantasy wreckage, and honestly, the waiver wire has never felt more like a Black Friday doorbuster frenzy. Except instead of TVs, we’re fighting over backup running backs and wide receivers whose names your league mates definitely can’t pronounce.
The biggest takeaway? Devin Neal is the pickup of the week if you need an instant RB plug-in, especially with the Saints’ backfield held together by athletic tape and prayer. At tight end, Sam and I both agreed that Brenton Strange might be the sneaky league-winner nobody’s talking about—Trevor Lawrence loves him, the schedule is soft, and most tight ends are emotional terrorism anyway. And don’t sleep on rookie WR John Higgins, who’s developing real chemistry with C.J. Stroud. If you’re in deeper leagues, Sam gave you the green light to take shots on guys like Shamari Dyke, Andre Iosivas, and even the Giants’ forgotten children, Isaiah Hodgins and possibly Darren Waller returning from the dead.
Then we went full Thanksgiving mode and hit every player prop of the holiday slate—from Jordan Love’s shoulder to Mahomes’ deep ball to whether the Ravens remember how to tackle running backs (signs point to “not really”).
If you need a reset heading into the home stretch, this is the week to do it. Waivers matter. Props matter. And hope absolutely still matters.
