It’s always good to 3-0, and I’ve given out a sweep three weeks in a row. It’s thirteen weeks in now, and I hope you’re still surviving! We’ve had a winner every week and are looking to keep the action going as we advance in our leagues. Let’s take a look at the Week 13 NFL Survivor picks!
As a reminder, I’m giving out two locks each week, in case you’ve already used the first one. I’m also giving out a contrarian dog play that I think will hit to try and give you an advantage over your league mates!

The Lock: Philadelphia Eagles
The easiest pick for your NFL Survivor picks in Week 13 is the Philadelphia Eagles when they host the Chicago Bears on Black Friday. The Bears have far exceeded any expectations this year. They’re 8-3, leading the NFC North, and playing with house money. Ben Johnson said he wanted immediate change, and he’s gotten it.
However, a lot of those wins have piled up against either teams with losing records or teams with backup quarterbacks. That’s not to discredit my beloved Chicago Bears. You can only beat the teams that are in front of you. They certainly didn’t make the schedule.
However, this is where the momentum slows a little. The schedule is tough from here on out. Not only do they take on a really good Philadelphia Eagles team. They also have a look-ahead spot, since they play the Green Bay Packers next week.
This will be an easy win for the Eagles, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 31-13 type of game.
Another Confident Pick: Denver Broncos
The other lock for your NFL survivor picks in Week 13 is the Denver Broncos. Eagles and Broncos are surprisingly two teams I still have available to choose from in my NFL Survivor leagues. Heading into Week 13, given that both of them are top-tier teams, that feels good
The Broncos take on a top-tier team from last year, the Washington Commanders, who just haven’t been all that top-tier this year. Jayden Daniels is out for the season. They haven’t been able to effectively run the ball. Their top wideout, Terry McLaurin, has battled injuries. The defense has also let them down. The Commanders just haven’t been the same team as they were last year when everything seemingly fell their way.
Sean Payton isn’t the kind of coach to fall into a trap-type game. That’s exactly what this is. It’d be easy for the Broncos to not take the Commanders seriously, travel to Washington, and lose. That won’t happen under Payton, however. Bo Nix and the “Bolievers” will be fired up and well-rested off the bye and ready to continue to prove themselves. If they keep their foot on the gas, they will not only win their division but could win the number one seed in the playoffs.
An Underdog Pick: Arizona Cardinals
Finally, let’s take a look at an underdog pick that maybe nobody else is looking at. Something you can get the team out of the way in your picks and never have to think about them again. It’s a small dog for our NFL Week 13 survivor picks. However, this is based on the fact that I don’t think Baker Mayfield plays.
In Sunday night’s game against the Rams, Baker suffered an AC Joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder. It was obvious he was in a lot of pain even before leaving the game. Baker’s a dog and will play through whatever he can. However, for this matchup, I think he sits.
On the other side of the ball, the Cardinals took the Jaguars to the very end and almost won it in overtime. Jacoby Brissett has been playing inspiring ball at quarterback, and the offense has been efficient. I think they’ll be efficient enough to pull off an upset on this one, and it’s very likely you haven’t found a reason to use the Cardinals yet. Baker being injured is your reason.
