Not even any of the regional promotions anyone has heard of are up and running. This coming week is a famine in the MMA world. So, instead, you’re getting an extra-early look at the next UFC pay-per-view, UFC 323. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC 323, I’m in on a former multi-time UFC champion as a live dog. MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC 323
UFC 323: Dvalishvili vs Yan 2
Start Time: 6:00 PM EST (Dec 6th) – (ESPN2/ESPN+/PPV)
Former two-time UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno finds himself third from the top at UFC 323, facing Japanese prospect Tatsuro Taira. And Moreno is the underdog, which is a little bit surprising.
It’s surprising because Moreno just handled two prospects in his last two fights, and the soon-to-be 32-year-old appears to still have plenty of gas left in his tank. Moreno will be the better striker in this matchup, and while Taira may be the better grappler, Moreno can more than handle his business on the mat.
