While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for Cage Warriors 196 from London, England for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Cage Warriors 196
Cage Warriors Bantamweight Fight: Ollie Sarwa vs Tuomas Grönvall
Card Start Time: Saturday (11/15), 2:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
Apart from having one of the best fight names in all of sports, Ollie “Sweet and” Sarwa might be one of the best betting values in the plethora of cards going on this weekend.
To start, you have the love the aggression that he brings on the feet. He does’t waste time, he gets right after it, and he obviously has serious one touch knockout power. However, on top of all of that, he showed in his last fight that he isn’t in danger of gassing out that way. Damiano Scogna countered him with toughness and some grappling for 15 minutes, and Sarwa came out the other side still undefeated.
Now in Grönvall, he gets an opponent that I think is worse at those two things. We’ve seen him easily worn down by pressure and he’s not quite as good in the wrestling department. In addition, we have seen Grönvall KOed fairly recently, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it again here.
