Purdue at Alabama

Start Time: 7:00 PM ET

The Purdue Boilermakers head to Tuscaloosa, AL for a matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Both of these offenses can absolutely fly, and we’re looking at a game that should see an avalanche of points.

Alabama just played a game against St. John’s in which the two teams combined for 199 points. The Crimson Tide also hung 91 points on North Dakota in their season opener. Alabama plays at the second-fastest pace in the nation. They want to score, run back, and score some more. If the Crimson Tide dictates the pace, this game flies over.

Purdue plays a bit slower pace, but can rack up a ton of points in their own right. Purdue has gone over 80 points scored in each of their first two games played this year.

These two teams played last year, and they only managed 165 points. However, they played in 2023-24 and combined for 178 points.

Be careful with where the number goes on this one. If you can get it at 176.5 or lower, lock up the over. If it starts to inch toward 180 points, look to stay away. Jump in early and bet this game to go over 175.5 points.

Best Bet: Over 175.5 Points

Loyola-Chicago at Wichita State

Start Time: 8:30 PM EST

Loyola-Chicago has had a rough ride since its emotional home opener on November 3rd. The Rambles lost at home to Mercyhurst and dropped a ‘neutral-site’ game to North Texas on a buzzer beater. Loyola-Chicago’s offense has been mostly absent this year, and now they have to travel West for a game at Wichita State.

The Shockers have looked solid at home this year after winning their first two games. Wichita State beat UNC-Asheville by 12 and rolled to a 43-point win over Prairie View A&M. The Shockers have looked impressive, and they own their home court.

It’s a bit odd that  Loyola-Chicago is struggling so much this year. The Ramblers returned three starters from a team that finished tied for third in the Atlantic-10 Conference. They have experience, but the offense has disappeared at times, and they’ve never been very athletic. This is also the Ramblers’ first true road game.

Wichita State has more size and athleticism than Loyola-Chicago. They also have the home crowd and catch the Ramblers at a time when they’re struggling. Let’s lock up Wichita State to cover the short number.

Best Bet: Wichita State -3

Green Bay at St. Thomas

Start Time: 8:00 PM EST

Green Bay rolls into St. Paul, MN for a matchup with St. Thomas. The Tommies have a brand new building and a roster that’s capable of winning the Summit League. Green Bay has a part-time coach and a rough roster that should fight to stay out of the bottom of the Horizon League. This is a mismatch worthy of a double-digit line.

The Tommies come into this game at 1-2 and off a loss at Washington State. That loss came after their home opener, in which they struggled to get past Army. This is the game in which St. Thomas hangs a massive loss on their opponent.

Green Bay also comes in at 1-2. The Phoenix got stomped by Kansas, lost at Buffalo, and picked up a 20-point win against DIII Ripon. The Phoenix lacks the team defense and pace to keep up with the Tommies. St. Thomas should run the Phoenix off the court and roll to a win of 15 points or more. Lock up the Tommies to cover the double-digit spread.

Best Bet: St. Thomas -12
